What is the hygiene like in Singapore

Singapore treats its cleaniness very seriously - from once you enter through Changi Airport to its roadsides, there is hardly much litter thrown all over the place. Even though we might not be comparable to say Japan, Singapore makes it easy to dispose of the trash you have so that you don't have to litter. There are bins all over the place, near road junctions, in the bus and MRT stops and in every shopping centre, you will be constantly greeted by places to dispose your garbage - so there are no excuses for you to litter. Please help keep Singapore clean!

For our public areas and even on our public transport, there are folks that help to sanitise to keep the places hygienic as well so you don't really have to worry that much. Just like every other country, sometimes the common areas are just touched by someone who sneezed so it can never be constantly clean even though we try our best.

However, there are a few bad eggs that do not respect the hygiene standards here, by spitting in public or even not covering their mouths when coughing or sneezing. However, as we work towards a more gracious society, we hope to make our way there someday.
