Singapore's weather is actually quite predictable - with only rain and sun to cater for, you usually do not need to be too concerned about the occurrence of any natural disasters or phenomenon. We do not experience hurricanes, typhoons and even earthquakes and with no seasons, there is no extreme hot or cold weather.

That being said, Singapore does experience an occasional wet and hot season caused by the regional weather patterns and its tropical climate. This can result in a full rainy day or sun that can be a bit unbearable to walk for long periods under. That is why an umbrella is the most important item that you need to bring along as it would help in either circumstance. Wearing light clothing is also recommended to deal with the heat as the only cold temperature felt is usually in air-con environments which are not that cold.

Further, some people might have read articles about the Singapore haze, an occurrence when hotpots around the region lead to fires and such fires lead to smoke that cause the haze to invade the little red dot. Although the haze is typically quite mild, there have been instances where it can reach the unhealthy region that is why it is recommended to check the PSI status on the NEA website here before your trip, as the unhealthy levels might warrant you to get an N95 mask just to protect yourself.
